WHO WE ARE:
We at Friends to the Furry have been busy working and living our lives for the last 10 years. Our owner and office manager is a retired special education teacher. Our primary dog walker has been a comedian and writer. The one thing we have in common is our deep love for and commitment to the animals in our lives and now your special friends. About 2 years ago, after years of informally caring for and walking our own and friends’ and family members’ pets, we were encouraged by everyone around us to formally start our dog walking/pet care business. Friends to the Furry was born out of this humble beginning.
Since the decision to formalize our business, our dog walker, Claudia, has been on a quest to constantly hone her skills. Though she was responsible for saving the life of one of her own little doggies using CPR many years ago, she has now become certified in pet first aid and is currently pursing additional dog training classes.
Friends to the Furry is a member of Pet Sitters Associates, the Cary Institute which is operated by Petsittingology and Animal Amour Pet Sitting University.
We are very excited by the growth our little business is experiencing but in the end, the best part of all is still being able to get paid to meet and love great new furry friends!

Meet QUEEN JASMINE!
My old kitty definitely thinks that she is the queen of all she sees and thankfully, the staff from Friends to the Furry treated her like she was the royalty she thinks she is when I had to go out of town for a few days! They make sure she’s happy and it shows through their excellent pet day care services.
